My answer to this question? (I am really vella)
1. Give Credit to the actual developers/ workers who are delivering in a project and not just to those who are bringing the project.
2. Normalization applied is not the correct way everytime, It is not necessary that if a unit has 10 skilled workers who deserve A there will be as many deserving B or C for that matters, the work for most of the projects is not very tough and in that case if some one getting an extra effort gets A, rest should get B+, and there are several such examples.
3. Compensation provided by the company at the end of year is not justifiable at all moreover it doesnot even meet the industry standards (pardon my ignorance, my knowledge is limited to the information I gathered from the market).
4) The company fared equally for a person who stayed with the company during bad times (last year when there was no appreciation or less bonuses) and those who joined afterwards, all of them got the same appreciations. If some one stayed with you during desperate times, it is not because of lack of options but because of loyality, and company shouting all the time about high EBIDTA and good performance but no appreciation or recoginition for such people was a big blow.
5) Most of the processes deployed by quality team requires senseless document creation and many processes deployed acorss various projects are not in sync with each other, more over quality team expects a process improvement by each project every quarter. Due to which processes keeps changing frequently. And resources spends almost 30 % of time managing documents (at times filling manipulated data) and mentally exhausted which not only hampers quality development time and also leaves no time for resources to learn something new.
6) Many policies applied by senior mangaement lies on papers, for instance IDR which asks for a resource development but other than having him fill big forms once every year, no action was taken by company to help resource acheive those scales of development.
7) There is no central server provide which can be accessed by all the members in company for the practice, simulation, etc activities, which will keep bench resources busy and also give them an opportunity to develop their skills.
8) The openess which we talk about so much is only on papers, because there is always a wide gap between the things promised and the things actually delivered by the company.
9) At the end I can say that there is a big difference between the Company I joined in 2007 and the Company of 2010, And not towards the positive side, the openness which was supposed to be one of the pillars of company's success is only on papers but not applied any where.
10) And to talk about leadership, I really appreciate the leadership at the senior level, but the middle management which I met and worked with during recent times is not up to the mark. worst they do not deliver what they promise, nor there is a long term vision in the approach but mostly the short term vision. Which create no sense of security in minds of people but only those who are required to fulfill the short term goals of the management are taken care off.
I heard that, before better before the merger, when the company was named $$$$$ and the employee satisfaction was the best, and better than any service company (leaving aside a few names) but it was a brand well recognized and reason for most of the people to join the company was good ESAT but it is not true in present scenario. May be if we cater to needs of the employees and improve over approach to select and filter good resources (necessary to fulfill long term goal) company will flourish better than ever. All the best.
Save Water
If we'll ask people to pay fr water, it will give mst of thm legitimate right to waste it, if thy'll buy it.
We can only stop people frm wasting it by providing bettr ways to live thr lives, People always try to follow wht's in fashion. And what better way to bring it in fashion then ask celebs to start saving water and asking people to do the same.
What abt using toilets like those used in space which throws out wastes using a vaccum pump instead of water. Applyin luxury taxes on equipments like jacuzzi, jet showers, extra taxes on house reg which has pools inbuilt. Treating these luxurious activities,as luxuries and chargin them will be beter than chargin evry1 for basicfulfilment of water.
Remember the Old saying 'a drop every day can fill an ocean' Save water!!

The Bus Ride!!!
What is the difference between Living a life and being just alive?
The same difference which is between driving a car and travelling in a city bus.
In one case you are master of your fate, you know if you want to accelerate or slow down, take a risky cut or sail around. While when you are on a city bus, you will be travelling from one destination to other but you won't be the one who decides how should the journey take place, which path to choose?
Our entire life; we are travelling in a city bus, ever since we are born till we die, most of us will be changing their buses but they will keep travelling in a city bus. How often do we stop, to think, to measure our options, may be to buy a car?
While we are young our parents drop us in the bus to school and we enter into adolescence without even peeking out of the bus. Often we spend time trying to do mischievous acts behind the backs of the conductors.We are so busy fighting with the bullies of the bus, trying to create our own identity in that place.And before we know the time gets over and we have to board down from the School Bus.
Some of us thinks this is the time to buy a car, some even suggest this idea to their parents. But most of us are back, including those who seek their parents' permission; and this time to board the Bus to COLLEGE. Time we have new mates, new conductors, sharper turns, bumpy rides, you feel the thrill of riding a real city bus, you think this is the closest to the edge you will be going, because of someone Else's driving. After the journey is over. You will buy a car for yourself and will happily drive it for the rest of journey ...
But as the time to end this journey comes closer, you realizes that you don't know how to drive, you have spent so many years travelling in a bus that you didn't care to learn how to drive. The gutsy people still go out to buy a car, others join driving lessons, but this is the story of the selected few, those you are the one with Guts and glory.
Most of us are still not the gutsy kind, our faces are as panicked as it can get. And in this panic moment, we feel helpless, our brains stop thinking, every near one, dear one, suggest us different bus to catch. But in this panic driven moment most of us always catch the first bus we find space in, most of us feel further week in their knees when they are not allowed in the first few of these buses, and they board over in some places they wouldn't even have looked otherwise.
And so start our next journey the Journey of Career, in few cases a break journey of various Careers.
Some still buys a car, some buy a really luxurious one, but at the end we find only one answer for everything , that no matter which path or way the bus driver will take you, once you are boarded on a bus you can not say NO to the driver, do don't board a bus if you hate the path. Don't join a journey if you don't feel like doing it. Buy a car if you want to drive yourself, even if a small. Else be happy about the drivers route and your fate. Because my friends at the end of journey all of us will be meeting again, in the same destination. No matter what.

Our leaders here are the ones who are choosen amongst a lot of many, polished with nittygrity of day to day handling of citizens as well as other nations.
They are not common humans but some other one from beyond this world who are brought to this world to act like they are the superior beings (which they are). They not only kill the desire in you to learn or perform but also destroy it so beautifully that you will stop feeling like you have ever acheived anything in life, This gives the nation a great opportunity to enjoy contentment and nothingness.
They make you believer, your moto is only to serve this nation doing nothing but following processes which by they way change every day, keeping you busy day in and day out. And mind you, ignorance is no excuse. If they change a process by overnight, you should be aware, and if you are not it's not leader's fault. This not only keep every one in our nation on their toes, but also agile.
They clearly make it possible for you to forget all about the work and the clients and any small, lame excuses you can give to not follow processes. And if you are a loyal citizen, who follows all the processes, they reward you handsomely with more of the same and many more afterwards.
And it's not that they will not appreciate you for doing so, there are regular ceremonies where your name is applauded for and called for setting you as an example, which others should follow.
Our leaders have together made a comittee, a group of elite 'GoE', of highly motivated and enthusiastic people, who are not well apt with the work, technology or any other lame talent. But all those who have vision, and they are entitled to come and go between us while enlightening us with their visions. common people many times revolt and try to prove that this GoE's member's vision is improper or conflicting. But that is because these common people are not gifted with the brilliance and vision. So they argue, but sooner or later they realize that, eventhough they cannot understand every ot anything, but they should respect GoE and follow their steps, even if causes you to move through a wavy or bad path. coz what ever they do they are doing with a vision in place. Small term goals can be sacrificed for this long term mission, a common man can be sacrificed, coz there can be many common man but very few vision developers.
What matters is not delay, bad relation ship, unhappy nation but Vision, Achiving targets, Showing every other nation that we are not just any nation but we are the one nation who is pursuing the best nation's award. And we will acheive it, even if it the price is happiness, contentment or benefit of a few million common people.

What do you desire?
simple question, not so simple answer; a person can write a list longer than complete voter list of china or it can be a one line answer, completely person dependent and no way we can compare two answers. Objectivity of this answer is unlimited and incomparable.
Besides this is an unending list, people who meets a desire generate quest for the next 1, the list is unending, leave aside the living, there desire is unlimited even after their death, many of them want a proper burial and a monument, that people will remember him/her, that something or other be buried / incriminated with them. We can always say that yes Desirezzz Unlimited!!
But, Why? Why are we so wishful , why do we always wish for something or other through out life, never content with ourselves, never happy with the living and livelihood we have. Always looking at other people's life. Making the statement "The grass is always greener on other side of the fence" as true as it can be. A child was thrown into a play school even before he start walking or talking properly, he is not supposed to think but follow the rules, do this not that, play this not that, study this not that. Always instructed , always forced to live a predefined life and after 15 years of hard ship in school when it comes out into real world. It feels like a nobody, without any one to guide. That child was guided through out his/her life and all of a sudden he/ she was asked what he/she wants to do in life, how do you expect him to take the right decision. When you have directed their lives till now they will definitely follow your guidance and will move ahead in his career and life as you dictate them. This lead them to that circle of work, earn and follow their desires.
So is it bad or is it good, Desires are not bad, as they bring to you a passion, a motive to work and move ahead. World would still have been a darker place if Edison didn't have a desire for invention, It would have taken weeks to cross across this globe, if wright brothers didn't have the desire to build an airplane, and this world would have been a safer place if this nobody would have desired to build a nuclear bomb, or chemical weapons, or weapons for that matters. There would have been peace and harmony if no body in this world have the desire to dominate others and become King of the world. So we can say everything in this world is been driven by desires , some pure some impure.
What! What was that , pure and impure? I mean where that came from, how can any one make a difference between these two kinds?

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 year old daughter picked stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench..
At the hospital, the child lost all her fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw her father with painful eyes she asked 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'
Man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches, child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'. The next day that man committed suicide.
